About Rob

Rob Childress is an artist and craftsman based in western North Carolina. His work can be seen in Morganton, Asheville, Brevard, Highlands, Cashiers, and other mountain towns throughout the region.

Specializing in detailed woodcarving, Rob’s work frequently involves plant and floral motifs carved into functional forms such as vessels.

Rob Childress has designed and built rustic furniture and installations that has been seen on HGTV and in numerous publications ranging from Southern Living to Architectural Digest. Rob’s rustic railings were a hallmark of the 2006 HGTV Dream Home.
